Accommodation and services

Your room is available from 3:00 PM on the day of arrival. Keys can be collected from the Accommodation Reception during opening hours or from the key locker in the Opistohalli lobby, which is available 24/7.

On the day of departure, the room must be vacated by 12:00 PM. Please leave the key on the table in your room and remember to lock the door when leaving. A fee of €50 will be charged for lost or unreturned keys.

The stable box is available from 1:00 PM on the day of arrival, unless otherwise agreed with the Accommodation Reception.

Your horse must be accommodated in the stable box assigned to you. Any changes to the assigned stable box must always be agreed with the stable manager or Accommodation Reception.

During major events, stable box changes take place at 1:00 PM. If you wish to keep the stable box until the evening of your departure day, late check-out can be booked for €20. Please contact the Accommodation Reception well in advance at reception@hevosopisto.fi.

Stable box lists

Stable box lists for events are published here.

The lists are updated no later than the morning of arrival. Please check your horse's stable box before arriving.

If you do not want your name to be published on the stable box list, please let us know in advance by email at reception@hevosopisto.fi.

Bedding and cleaning of the stable box

Stable boxes are provided empty and without bedding.

You can choose between two bedding options:

• Peat bedding – freely available and included in the accommodation price
• Wood shavings – available at an additional cost of €16 per bale. You can purchase as many bales as you need when making your stable box reservation in the online booking system.

You are responsible for bedding the stable box according to your needs. After use, the stable box must be completely emptied of bedding and left clean.

A €60 cleaning fee per stable box + a €10 invoicing fee will be charged to the person who made the reservation if the stable box has not been properly cleaned after use.

Horse turnout

When staying at Hevosopisto with your horse in Stable 4 or Stable 5, your horse can be turned out in the paddocks located next to the stable.

Turnout instructions and the paddocks available for use are marked near the stable entrances and on the notice boards.

• Stable 4: All paddocks located near the stable are available for use.
• Stable 5: The paddocks available for use are marked on the map on the notice board.

Please note:

• Remove all manure from the paddock immediately after use.
• Food must not be taken into or given in the paddocks.

These instructions help us keep the paddocks clean and safe for everyone.

Medication and anti-doping regulations

The person renting the stable box agrees to comply with the medication and anti-doping regulations of the Finnish Trotting and Breeding Association (Hippos) and the Finnish Equestrian Federation (SRL).

If you are booking a stable box for a horse that is currently receiving medication, or has been treated with substances for which the withdrawal period is still in effect, please inform the Accommodation Reception in advance at reception@hevosopisto.fi.

Stable boxes may only be used for accommodating horses. Dogs may not be kept in stable boxes, even temporarily.

Safety and responsibility for your horse

All stable rules and general safety instructions must be followed throughout the Hevosopisto area.

The owner is always responsible for their horse during its stay. Hevosopisto is not responsible for any injury or illness affecting the horse.

The identification number covers all stables in the Hevosopisto area.

Guests staying at Hevosopisto may also use the riding arenas, indoor arenas and other sports facilities. Use of these facilities must be booked and paid for separately.

You can book the use of the sports facilities when making your stable box reservation, in which case the price is €5 lower, or make a separate booking through Hopoti.

Book a sports facility

Please note that the use of sports facilities is not automatically included in the price of stable accommodation. Use of the facilities is included for national or regional training groups and, during competitions, in the areas specified in the competitors' information.

If you use the sports facilities without a valid booking and payment, a €50 penalty fee, the applicable facility fee of €25 per horse, and a €10 invoicing fee will be charged.

Summary of the booking and cancellation terms

• When making a reservation, you must provide your arrival and departure dates, name, address, telephone number, email address and payment method. The person making the reservation must be at least 18 years old.
• For stable box reservations, the horse's name, sex and premises identification number are required.
• For electricity connection reservations, the vehicle registration number and vehicle size are required.
• A reservation becomes binding once the customer has confirmed it verbally or in writing and the reservation has been confirmed in writing by the sales service.
• Changes to a reservation must be made in writing by email to reception@hevosopisto.fi.
• All cancellations must be made in writing by email to reception@hevosopisto.fi.
• An individual room or stable box reservation can be cancelled free of charge until 10:00 AM on the day of arrival. After this time, the price of one night's accommodation will be charged.
• Reservations made through customer service must be paid for before arrival.

• Accommodation reservations are paid when booking through the Hevosopisto online booking system.
• Cash or card payments are accepted at the Opistohalli reception for purchases made at the reception.
• A €10 processing fee is charged for payment processing and invoicing where applicable.

In the event of illness, we will refund the payment in full upon receipt of an approved medical or veterinary certificate submitted within two working days of the cancellation.

Payment service provider

Paytrail Oyj (Business ID 2122839-7) provides payment processing services in cooperation with Finnish banks and credit institutions. Paytrail Oyj appears as the payment recipient on bank statements and card invoices and transfers the payment to the merchant. Paytrail Oyj is authorised as a payment institution.

Information about payments

The Hevosopisto area is smoke-free. Smoking is only permitted in designated smoking areas or outside the Hevosopisto area.

Pets are welcome at Hevosopisto. Guests travelling with pets can stay in designated pet-friendly rooms.

Guests may not allow unauthorised persons into Hevosopisto's accommodation facilities. Please make sure that doors are locked. Hevosopisto is not responsible for belongings left in the accommodation facilities.

Lost property is stored for one month, after which it will be recycled.

Please note that minors staying at Hevosopisto do so under the responsibility of their guardian, regardless of whether the guardian is staying at Hevosopisto.

In case of problems, such as difficulties with locking or opening a door, guests can contact the on-call caretaker:

Purpose of processing personal data

The register is used to store and manage customer information, for internal reporting, communication, invoicing and marketing of Hevosopisto services.

Information stored in the register

The register may contain the customer's customer number, name, date of birth, gender, address and contact details, as well as information about purchases.

Sources of information

Customer information is collected based on the customer relationship. Information may also be collected through the Hevosopisto website, online store and targeted surveys.

Disclosure of information

Customer register information is disclosed only when required by an authority, in accordance with the Act on Accommodation and Food Service Operations (308/2006). Customer information is not transferred outside the European Economic Area.

Storage and protection of information

Manual records are stored in locked facilities. Computerised information is stored on an internal network protected by passwords. Customer information in the online service and online store is stored on protected servers.

Cookies

Cookies may occasionally be stored on a visitor's computer when using the website.

Cookies may collect information such as the page from which you arrived at our website, the pages you have viewed and when, the browser you use, your screen resolution, operating system and IP address.

Cookie information may be used by Hevosopisto and its partners to monitor visitor numbers and analyse and develop the website and services. Our partners may also use cookies to target advertising based on visits to this and other websites.

Visitors can prevent the use of cookies by changing their browser settings. Please note that disabling cookies may affect the functionality of some services.

We sell hay in small bales to guests staying with horses.

Please place your order in our online booking system by Friday at 2:00 PM. Online ordering closes after this time.

Competition weekends:
If the Opistohalli reception is open, hay can also be purchased on Saturday until 12:00 PM.
